How to cancel YouTube Premium
YouTube Premium renews monthly. If you subscribed through Apple, you must cancel through Apple — Google cannot cancel it for you.
Cancel at youtube.com/paid_memberships ↗- 1
Open the paid memberships page
Go to youtube.com/paid_memberships and sign in with the Google account that has the subscription.

Click 'Manage membership'
You will see your plan, price, and next billing date.

Select 'Deactivate' or 'Cancel'
YouTube may offer to pause the membership for up to 6 months instead. Choose cancel if you want to end it.

Confirm
Confirm the cancellation. Premium benefits continue until the end of the paid period.

Subscribed via iPhone?
If you pay through Apple (the price was billed by Apple), open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → YouTube Premium → Cancel.
Good to know
- Family plan members lose access when the plan manager cancels.
- You keep ad-free access until the end of the current billing cycle.
- Google does not refund partial months — cancel right after renewal if you already paid.
