CancelWise · Draft
Privacy Policy
Draft for review, not a complete legal notice. The legal seller and data controller have not yet been identified. This draft does not meet the requirements for accepting live payments.
1. Who is responsible
CancelWise is the service brand. The legal data controller has not yet been identified in this draft. Controller identification, effective date and jurisdiction-specific disclosures must be completed before this notice is finalized.
2. Data and purposes
Account email and authentication information are processed to create accounts, sign you in and protect access. Saved audit entries, subscription names, costs, renewal dates, cancellation status and reminder details are used to provide tracking and calculations. Contact-form email addresses and messages are saved to handle support and privacy requests. Hosting and diagnostic services may process IP addresses, device or browser details and error information for delivery, security and troubleshooting. CancelWise does not need your third-party subscription passwords or card details in an audit.
3. Proposed legal bases
Where applicable, providing requested account and tracking services relies on contract performance; security and support rely on legitimate interests; mandatory records rely on legal obligations. Any optional processing requiring consent must use that consent. These bases must be reviewed against the controller’s jurisdiction before finalization.
4. Sharing
Lovable Cloud and its hosting and authentication providers process data to operate the service. Paddle receives information necessary for checkout, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing as Merchant of Record, under its own privacy notice. Data may also be shared with professional advisers or authorities when legally necessary. If app email alerts are activated, relevant recipient and reminder information will be processed by the email delivery service.
5. Retention
Account and subscription records are retained while needed to provide the service. Contact messages are retained while needed to handle the request and related follow-up. Records should be deleted or anonymized when no longer needed, except when law or an unresolved dispute requires retention. Exact retention periods and a deletion procedure remain to be confirmed; this draft does not promise automatic deletion.
6. Your requests
Use the contact form to request access, correction or deletion of your information, or to raise a privacy concern. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict processing, portability, objection, consent withdrawal and a complaint to the relevant authority. Identity checks may be necessary to protect your data. Applicable rights and response deadlines will be confirmed in the final notice.
7. Security and international processing
Access controls and encrypted connections help protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information outside your country. Applicable transfer locations and safeguards must be reviewed and documented before the notice is finalized.
8. Cookies and browser storage
CancelWise uses browser storage for authentication sessions and to carry an unfinished audit into your account. Payment services may use their own cookies or storage during checkout. This draft does not authorize optional analytics or marketing cookies. You can clear browser storage through your browser settings; doing so may sign you out or remove an unfinished audit.
