How to cancel Apple Subscriptions & iCloud+
Any subscription bought through the App Store — plus Apple's own services like iCloud+, Apple Music, and Apple One — is managed in one place on your Apple device.
Apple's official cancellation help ↗- 1
Open Settings on iPhone or iPad
Tap Settings → your name at the top → Subscriptions.
- 2
Choose the subscription
You'll see active and expired subscriptions. Tap the one you want to stop (e.g. an app, Apple Music, Apple One).
- 3
Tap 'Cancel Subscription'
Tap 'Cancel Subscription' (or 'Cancel Free Trial') and confirm. If there is no cancel button, it's already cancelled.
- 4
Downgrade iCloud+ storage separately
iCloud+ is in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage (or 'Manage Storage') → Change Storage Plan → Downgrade Options → Free 5 GB.
- 5
On Mac
Open the App Store → click your name → Account Settings → Subscriptions → Manage.
Good to know
- Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.
- Cancelling a free trial usually ends access immediately.
- You can request a refund for an accidental purchase at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Before downgrading iCloud+, make sure your data fits in 5 GB or back it up.
